Seasons Greetings from Dr. Aquino!

Updated: Nov 20, 2023

Dear Patients & Friends:

As the holiday season approaches, I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. With the festive gatherings and winter weather, now is the time to take care of yourself first! It's essential to take proactive measures to avoid the common cold and flu, ensuring a joyful and healthy celebration for you and your loved ones.

Follow these simple rules:

Practice Good Hand Hygiene: Remember frequent handwashing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after coughing or sneezing and before meals. If soap and water are not available, recommend the use of an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

Respiratory Etiquette: Remind individuals to cover their nose and mouth with a tissue or your elbow when coughing or sneezing to prevent the spread of respiratory droplets. Be mindful that touching the face, particularly the eyes, nose, and mouth, can introduce viruses into the body.

Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle: Emphasize the importance of a well-balanced diet, regular exercise, and adequate sleep. A strong immune system is better equipped to fend off infections. Stay hydrated! Include immune-boosting foods into your meals.

Limit Close Contact: While celebrating the holidays with family and friends is a cherished tradition, be mindful of close contact with those who may be exhibiting symptoms of illness.

Clean and Disinfect: Regularly clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces, including doorknobs, light switches, and electronic devices. This can help reduce the risk of virus transmission in shared spaces.

Stay Informed: Check back at my website at www.rjamd.com and www.flccc.net

Symptom Recognition: Know the common symptoms of colds and flu, such as fever, cough, and body aches. Seek medical advice promptly if you experience symptoms, and remember the importance of staying home when unwell to prevent the spread of illness to others.

Warm Regards.

Dr .A

Robert J. Aquino, M.D.
