Robert J. Aquino, M.D.

Dr. Aquino received his medical degree in 1983 from Ross University School of Medicine, Portsmouth, Dominica and his Masters of Science Degree in Healthcare Management in 1993 from the Robert F. Wagner School of Public Health – New York University. From 1989 - 2000 he was the Chief of Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens.

In 2002 he served as the Treasurer for the Queens Medical Society. In 2003 served as the immediate past president for the Queens Medical Society. From 1996-2010 he was the President and CEO of Capitol Health Management, Inc. In addition, he owned and operated 2 full time Article 28 Diagnostic and Treatment Centers, a multi-specialty group practice, as well as a freestanding Article 28 Ambulatory Surgery Center.   In addition, Dr. Aquino served as primary care physician for  a large New York City substance abuse & addiction residential treatment center.  He personally witnessed how the abuse of drugs & alcohol steadily destroys the body and how there is a way to return to good health.

 

Since 2010 Dr. Aquino has provided medical consulting services to various traditional medical entities. In response to the changing medical environment, he became interested in alternative medical delivery systems, including integrative medicine. Dr. Aquino established Gold Coast Medical Wellness, PLLC in 2014. Gold Coast Medical Wellness, PLLC is an integrative medical practice that specializes in Vitamin Infusion therapy and beauty enhancement. Dr. Aquino's practice is administered by Replenish, Inc. Today, his primary interest is in reducing fatigue, improving energy, and enhancing performance in all areas of life. He also believes that lifestyle and environmental exposures have a huge impact on one's health, energy, and mood. He is a physician with a personal interest in health and wellness. 

 

His focus is on wellness and prevention, and when helping someone navigate their health, he always starts by looking for root causes at the same time as working on foundations for well-being. Drawing on his diverse medical expertise and experience, he works along with his healthcare team to help his patients identify areas that would improve their wellness and to educate them so that they can make more informed choices about their health. He is bilingual in English and Spanish. Dr. Aquino is a member of American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
